Four-Year-Old Elected Mayor of Minnesota Town
Maybe we should have tried this...
In Dorset Minnesota, they don't typically need run-off elections. They do occasionally elect 4 year olds to run the city though! The tiny town has a population of 26 people, 14 businesses to its credit and a neat way of deciding who's in charge.
Anyone who would like to be "The Man" pays a $1 entry fee and drops his/her/"its" name in a hat. In the past, chickens and other critters have been nominated. Then, they draw one. Seriously, we should try this. The mayor gets the key to the city and a gift from every business. All 14 of them!! That part, I think we may already be doing.
Remember, El Paso’s mayoral race has come down to a June 15th runoff election. Don't forget to vote!
