Fans Start Petition Demanding GOT Writers Drop Out Of Star Wars
After the disastrous final season of "Game of Thrones," fans are still upset with the show's writers and don't want to see another series be ruined. In case you've been living under a rock, or under the pile of rubble that was King's Landing, many Game of Thrones fans are livid with the show's writers. The final season left many underwhelmed and upset at the way they decided to end the series. Considering there were no books written for the writers to work with or for fans to know exactly how things happened, it's not surprising people were upset. Since then, there have been several petitions asking for the season to be redone or for the books to finally be finished (which is a petition I can get behind).
Before the show had wrapped up, D.B. Weiss and David Benioff had signed on to work on the new Star Wars film and many were excited to hear of this development. After all, they had successfully lead the Game of Thrones franchise for several years and had made the series the most successful in HBO's history. But now, after the final season of GOT has said all it needs to, Star Wars fans are questioning if the two men are the right people to be leading such an iconic franchise like Star Wars. We all know Star Wars fans can be.....difficult, especially about something they have dedicated so many hours and years of their life obsessing over, and many GOT fans are Star Wars fans as well. But now, petitions are popping up online demanding that the two writers be taken off the series. Over 15,000 people have already signed the petition and that number keeps growing. Whether or not this will actually make a different we will still have to wait and see but the fans do want D.B. Weiss and David Benioff to know- they're not happy with them still.
