If you need a way to beat the summer heat in El Paso, you and your kids might just love this.

It’s that time of the year to start figuring out what you’re going to do with the kids when they don’t have school - and why not a cheap ticket to a movie theater?

Cinemark just announced something that might really help parents out, especially in the heat of the El Paso summer.

It’s called the Summer Movie Clubhouse.

The program is happening at 200 Cinemark theaters across the country, including three here in El Paso.

Here are the deets:

WHEN: June 19 through August 10
WHAT: Some of your kids’ favorite movies returning to the big screen, 9:30 a.m. showtimes each Wednesday (select theaters will also offer Monday and Thursday programs)
WHY: because a cold, dark movie theater in the dead of summer isn’t all that bad
MOVIE LINEUP: Minions: The Rise of Gru, Sonic the Hedgehog, Mummies, The Bad Guys, Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank, DC League of Super-Pets, Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish

There are eight movies for the eight weeks of the program. Here is the best part (for the parents, at least): tickets are only $1.50 each plus taxes and fees.

But it’s not just the movies you’ll get at a discount. Cinemark says ticket holders will also get dollar-off pricing on all kids’ snack packs as well as any size popcorn and drink combo.

Tickets go on sale Thursday, May 18 online and at the box office.

There are three El Paso locations participating:
