Welcome to El Paso Townsquare!
But El Pasoans going through the COVID-19 crisis deserve help and insight as we re-tool the show to focus on the Sun City and how it deals with the fallout of the novel coronavirus.
This week, we have some good advice for people and businesses with Marybeth Stevens, President of the Better Business Bureau - Paso del Norte. It's full steam ahead for the BBB, including lifting the lid on some truly detestable scams from those taking advantage of El Pasoans' fear surrounding COVID-19.
We also have some REALLY wonderful news for El Pasoans who run or are employed by local businesses from Dante Acosta, District Director of the Small Business Association. Mr. Acosta has been in El Paso less than a year and merely had to help roll out the largest federal assistance program on the planet this week.
My thanks to them both.
If you grew up in Segundo Barrio, you might recognize the name Rodolfo "Rudy" Acosta. The famous character actor from the 1950's and 60's...happens to be Dante Acosta's father!
The Acosta family name comes full circle, back in the Sun City.
