EP Parks and Rec want you to experience the adventure and fun your family can have to spend the night camping at Asacarte Park.

The kids are out of school and looking for more things to do. There are plenty of summer camps to check out that kids can enjoy both indoors and outside but why not treat the whole family to an outdoor adventure, courtesy of El Paso County Parks and Recreation.

"Bear-Foot in the Park" is an overnight camping event at Ascarate Park this month.  This is a family-friendly event that will be packed with activities everyone can enjoy and food trucks will be on-site for food. The Moonlight Swim Session will be held from 11 p.m. to 12 a.m. as well as an Overnight Fishing Tournament for all ages from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. To camp, you can bring tents or RVs to sleep in.

"Bear-Foot in the Park" is happening Friday, July 23rd at 4 p.m. till Saturday, July 24th at 8 a.m. at Ascarate Park. Ascarate Park is located at 6900 Delta in El Paso. Registration begins today, July 14th at the El Paso County Parks and Rec Administration offices inside Ascarate Park. Registration ends Thursday, July 22nd. Registration is $10 for adults and $5 for kids and there are also picnic shelters and power available to rent for $50 for the night. To participate in the fishing tournament, all participants 17 and up must have a Texas fishing license. The registration fee for the fishing tournament is $25 for each entry.
