El Paso’s Goat Yoga Farm Is So Popular Sessions Are Selling Out
El Paso's only goat yoga farm is now open, and it's so popular that sessions keep selling out.
Goat yoga is not new, originating in 2016 when the first goat yoga farm opened in Portland, OR. Since then, the therapeutic method has gained popularity across the country, and now it's available in El Paso.
The first fully operational goat yoga farm opened last month in El Paso and has since seen an incredible response selling out session after session thanks to its word-of-mouth marketing.
Native El Pasoan *Roberto Rivas JR., a veteran, musician, and biomedical engineer, opened the only goat yoga farm in the area with stellar yoga instructor Robin Crociata.
Since then, classes have been selling out non-stop, and because I haven't been able to book a session, Rivas made arrangements for my friends and me to crash a private corporate session scheduled for employees of Panda Express over the weekend.
Sitting on a 2-acre hacienda off Country Club Rd, El Paso's Goat Yoga Farm is home to a full-grown male turkey named Jake, a Silky chicken, horses, a micro Juliana spotted pig named Pogo, and of course, adorable goats.
Patrons can expect a fun meditative yoga session, a sound bath, along with the added benefit of Himalayan baby goats named after Disney characters like Bruno, Maui, and Sven roaming and cuddling around patrons.
And be prepared for cuteness overload as you interact and feed these baby goats, assisted by two trainers who also help wrangle the animals to place on the backs of attendees for specific positions.
It's widely known that animal therapy offers multiple health benefits and can significantly reduce pain, stress, anxiety, and even depression, and is especially beneficial for children with autism.
The whole immersive experience is extraordinary, and I can now see why it's so popular, and sessions keep selling out.
For this reason, Roberto and Robin are looking to expand and open more sessions as they are currently only available every other weekend. They are also looking to add more family-friendly yoga classes with introductory poses and meditation tailored for kids and offsite programs for senior citizens.
Discover why everyone is raving about at El Paso's only Goat Yoga Farm, and book your session early because space is limited.
Thank you again to Roberto Rivas, his whole fantastic team, and the employees of Panda Express for letting us crash their class - it was a wonderful and memorable yoga session we won't soon forget.
