Wrestler Cinta de Oro is hosting a meet and greet and book signing in celebration of his new book, and everyone is invited to the free, family-friendly event this Friday in downtown El Paso.

Born and raised on the Borderland, Cinta de Oro attended Burgess High School and grew up in Juárez and El Paso's Segundo Barrio in the Moorhead public housing apartments.

Best known for his time with WWE under the ring name Sin Cara (now Cinta de Oro) was the second and longest-tenured wrestler to use the persona.

Apart from his wrestling fame, the native El Pasoan is also known outside the ring for his famous open-handed slaps against the chest or backs of fans leaving behind a visible hand print, endured in the name of fandom.

Now, the native El Pasoan has written a book El Verdadero Campeonato, a story based on Cinta de Oro's life filled with hope, faith, and inspiration in and out of the ring.

And to help kick off Hispanic Heritage Month, the wrestler will host a book signing meet and greet with a pop-up museum featuring memorabilia from the wrestler's collection.

Memorabilia includes an Eddie Guerrero wrestling mask, capes and boots, books, toys, and much more, which will be on display for one night only for all to see.

The evening will also include reading a portion of his book, a Q&A, a book signing, and a photo opportunity.

Attendees will also have a chance to purchase merchandise from t-shirts, wrestling plushies and masks, books, and more.
