El Pasoans Official Rules for Wearing Band Shirts at Concerts
Concerts are back on in the Borderland and I am hella excited. I am still recovering from the Volbeat and Ghost concert but it was totally worth it.
While at the concert, I noticed a ton of people wearing the band shirts- and it reminded me of a certain rule I've always abided by:
YOU DON'T WEAR THE BAND SHIRT TO THE BAND YOU'RE GOING TO SEE!
It's something that was shared with me a long time ago, and it is a rule I've always lived by. It's also something that many saw in the movie "PCU" starring Jeremy Piven, David Spade and that guy who is make all your "Star Wars" fantasies come true- Jon Favreau.
For years I have always heard the quote "don't be THAT guy" when going to concerts. To this day, if I go to a concert, I don't wear the band shirt to the band I'm seeing.
But lately I have noticed that many people don't abide by that rule. Many will wear the band shirt to the concert. Alternatively, I've seen people buy the band shirt at the concert and put it on before the band comes on.
So I decided to ask our fellow Facebook followers for their input, and there were a lot of thoughts on this very important topic.
A lot of you had also lived by the rule I had- don't wear the band shirt to the concert.
"A badge of honor" is a great way to explain it!
For the most part, lots of the answers were you simply do both. Wear the band shirt and then buy one at the concert too.
And then this guy came in with a very specific set of rules:
Is the band shirt rule I live by out of date? Am I living under rock? Should I start wearing a band shirt to the concert? I guess we'll have to see what happens at the next concert.
