El Paso Reddit User Asks if Pistol Pete’s Was Just A Dream

When I was younger, if we wanted to have a pizza party there were only two choices: Peter Piper Pizza or, the now defunct, Pistol Pete's Pizza. Side note: I was today year's old when I realized they both are PPP. Anyways, I had almost completely erased Pistol Pete's from my memory when suddenly I came across this on Reddit:

For a moment, I thought I was tripping too! Then it all came back to me. Pistol Pete's totally existed, and the pizza was great! It was basically a cheaper Peter Piper Pizza (cheaper as in prices, quality was still good).

This is when fellow El Pasoan's jumped in to assure us that we were totally not tripping.

That commercial! I vaguely remember it!

The last time I can remember going to a Pistol Pete's was when I was 15 back in 2004! I actually remembered the slogan: Pistol Pete's Pizza... Everybody loves it! I can't pinpoint when exactly it closed down, according to the Peter Piper Pizza Wiki, they took ownership of all Pistol Pete's in 1995. Then suddenly there were no Pistol Pete's and Peter Piper took over, which I'm not complaining because Peter Piper Pizza is bomb! In the two locations that Pistol Pete's used to stand now occupy a dental office and a candy store. It was definitely a moment in time, RIP Pistol Pete's, everybody DID love it.
