El Paso lost one of its 3 Red Lobster locations recently and now it's just sitting there. It's in a great location, easily found and huge. Here are three things it could be used for.

It's a shame really. That Red Lobster was El Paso's first and, until now, it's longest standing. Luckily though, we have 2 more - 1 on the east side on Joe Battle and 1 on the west on Sunland Park.

Things The Old Red Lobster Building Could Be

First thought, duh - a new restaurant. Whether it's high end fare or bar food, it would absolutely have to be something way out of the ordinary as we have tons of restaurants already.

Live music venue

I don't mean another concert venue. The former Rockhouse is already beautifully set up for that. Given it's huge kitchen area, I'm thinking the Red Lobster could be a "live music with real food" kinda place. Concerts with a high end dinner menu. Similar to how Alamo Drafthouse and Flix stood the movie theater business on its end by offering more than popcorn, candy and stale soda.

My last idea ... knowing El Paso, empty buildings and one certain retailer as I do ... I'm pretty sure is the one that will most likely, actually happen.

If they lease it, it will probably pretty soon since everybody likes to start prepping for holidays way the F - bomb before them these days.

Ok, that's me being a smart ass but I can totally see that happening. All the costumes may smell a little fishy but that could mean discounts. We'll see.
