Po Boy Bello turned 10 years old last week and his owner decided to give this good boy an over-the-top diezeañera. Everyone who listens to the morning show, or knows me personally, knows I'm a big pug fan. My dog Tubby was even in a local pug group called EPUG (El Paso's Ultimate Grumble) where local pug owners and their dogs meet up to meet other pug lovers and socialize. This Saturday, EPUG is having their annual Pug-O-Ween to benefit the El Paso Pug Rescue, a local non-profit that helps abused, neglected, and surrendered pugs receive medical care and find their forever homes.

At the first Pug-O-Ween he ever went to, Tubby met one of his best friends for the rest of his life- Po Boy Bello. He and his owner were dressed up as a cavewoman and a dinosaur and I loved her dedication with the costume.

From there, we became fast friends and her wild Halloween costumes are something I look forward to seeing every year. Here's back in 2018 when the group dressed up as the characters from the popular Spanish language show "El Chavo del Ocho":

In 2019, the whole family brought the circus to the party and Po Boy was the mighty lion. Let's be honest, Po Boy was most excited he got to sit in a comfy wagon and get wheeled around like the true king of the jungle he is:

But it's not just the Pug-O-Weens they go all out for. Po Boy's birthday parties have always been one of my favorite parties to attend every year. His owner Vianey goes out all celebrating his big day. There have been Teenage Mutant Ninja Turles theme, Dia de los Muertos, and even this Lumberjack themed soiree:

But for Po Boy's 10th birthday, Vianey really took it to another level, throwing her beloved pug a diezeañera, complete with mariachis, Folklorico dancers, a massive treats display, tacos, and everything your family member's quinceañera would have. I went to his party and my new girl Lucy had a blast at her 1st birthday party with PB. People were so blown away by the party that FitFam even posted about the fiesta, giving him a happy birthday shout-out about the party.

Check out the videos below and if you want to see more over-the-top pug loving, check out the El Paso Pug Rescue's Pug-O-Ween, this Saturday at Gringo Theory. There will plenty of prizes at the raffle you could win from amazing businesses like Alamo Drafthouse, Deadbeach Brewery, Legacy CBD, and more.

SPOOKY GOOD: 2019 KLAQ Halloween Parade

For 2019, KLAQ's Halloween parade brought out Tony the Tiger to be the Grand Marshal. As for the Buzz Adams Morning Show, they dressed up and drove around as The Wizard of Oz but zombie style. Thank you to everyone who came out to the parade and make it a spooky good time.
