El Paso Police Warn The Public About ‘Jugging’
Four men from Houston are in jail today on burglary charges. El Paso Police say what they were doing is commonly known as ‘jugging’. The men allegedly watched people withdraw large amounts of cash and then worked together to follow them to another location. They then broke into the victim's cars and stole cash that had been left in the cars. The men allegedly hit three different cars at Montwood, George Dieter, and Magruder. They were arrested at the Sierra Blanca checkpoint as they tried to leave town.
El Paso Police say you should be very aware of your surroundings at all times, especially when you are leaving your bank or ATM. And, of course, never, ever, leave cash inside an unattended vehicle.
