The El Paso Neighborhood Coalition Wants You
The El Paso Neighborhood Coalition wants you. Well, actually, they want your entire neighborhood but that includes you too.
The El Paso Neighborhood Coalition exists to unite the residents of neighborhoods all over El Paso. This has nothing to do with home owners associations that you pay to be a part of and then spend most of your time hating on. The El Paso Neighborhood Coalition is just to help give your 'hood a voice.
The El Paso Neighborhood Coalition is a group of groups of neighbors, gathered together to better their neighborhoods, get to know one another, improve amenities and interact with El Paso City Council. (See who your city rep is here.)
The El Paso Neighborhood Coalition
The El Paso Neighborhood Coalition (EPNC) is a citywide network of neighborhood associations designed to support one another. Neighborhood associations in each of the City Planning Areas - East, Northeast, Northwest, Central, and Mission Valley - elect a Neighborhood Council Member and altogether, elect a Chairperson to represent neighborhood interests citywide. The Coalition hosts monthly meetings with speakers to address issues and concerns affecting El Paso residents. - elpasotexas.gov
Your neighborhood may already have a group. If you're new to the area or just not sure, you can find out via this map.
Benefits Of The El Paso Neighborhood Coalition
Neighborhood associations helped build relationships and pride among neighbors and give neighborhoods a "face" before city government. They're also a way for the city to keep the residents in the know as far as city projects, meetings and other activities go as well as keeping the neighborhood eligible for programs to improve the neighborhood.
