El Paso Businesses Prove To Be El Paso Strong As They Help Migrants In Need
If you’ve driven through Downtown El Paso recently then you may notice migrant families who are trying their hardest to stay warm outside.
Temperatures overnight dipped down to below freezing causing dangerous weather conditions for people staying out in the cold.
It is so heartbreaking to think that these families will have to be outside when the coldest air of the season hits the borderland, but seeing the amount of donations and volunteer work from local businesses really restores my faith in humanity.
HDZ Auto Connect Donates Clothing Items to Migrants:
The hard working men at Hernandez Auto Connect, Oscar Hernandez, Adrian Hernandez, Jay Hernandez, and Adrian Arreola, decided to jump into action when they saw the conditions that migrant families had to deal with while in the U.S.
“So last week my brother Tony came into the office and told us he couldn’t sleep the night before thinking of the Immigrants being out in the cold,” wrote Oscar Hernandez on a post shattered to his Instagram.
The employees at Hernandez Auto Connect decided to jump into action and gathered as many sweaters , blankets, socks , shoes and other clothing items to donate to people in need the next day.
“Although we couldn’t help everyone at the moment, it warms our hearts to be able to see a little girl be able to put on some warm boots and see her smile,” wrote Oscar.
