El Paso Bar Pays Tribute to Metallica With Unique Drink of the Day

Hope & Anchor is a bar by the people, for the people and home to one epic patio bar. That's at least according to their description.

As someone who has been there at least once, I can agree it is a pretty epic patio and can see why they were voted best bar and best happy hour in El Paso in 2020- also, they're dog friendly so taking your furry companion is completely cool.

In keeping with being a cool bar; Hope and Anchor paid tribute to one of metals best acts- Metallica by creating a drink that sounds totally rocking, and looks delicious.

I present to you the Mezcallica!

As you can see, it consists of Ojo de Tigre Mezcal, which is an agave-based liquor, add some watermelon, lime, agave and top it off with some Liquid Death (which is canned water) and bam! Your very own Mezcallica (get it, because Metallica?) that looks refreshing!

You can see they also added some Tajin on the rim and garnished it with a lime. Perfect for when you want to go off to Never Never Land.

Hope and Anchor gave no reasoning as to why this was the drink of the day, but my guess is that it was James Hetfield's birthday. That's right, the front man celebrated his 59th birthday on August 3rd, and Hope and Anchor were probably in the mood to celebrate the man!
