Visitors to the east side of Fort Bliss will face some extra difficulty until early November.

The Old Ironsides gate at Fort Bliss, formerly known as the Global Reach gate, will be closed for construction from Friday through Nov. 9th. Additional lanes and an over hang are being added to the gate plus, the road is being resurfaced.

Access to the Visitors Center will still be available for those needing passes, but limited to only the Visitors Center. After you have concluded your business, you will have to use a special turnaround to exit the post and then reenter via a different gate. There are also four other Visitor Centers located on the post.

Traffic on the east side of Fort Bliss will have to use the Constitution gate. For more info on Fort Bliss access points, click here.
