Do You Think Texas Is THE Most Polite State In The US?

When you think about a person being 'polite' what comes to mind? Is it in how a person treats you or greets you? Does it mean being kind, courteous, and never offputting? What is the actual definition of the word polite anyway? According to the Oxford dictionary, polite means having or showing behavior that is respectful and considerate of other people.

Ok well, that spells it out a little more clearly. So in terms of polite being a place, what would the contributing factors be? Well first of all in a new report, according to searches made on Google, for 'polite terms,' a list of states ranking high in politeness, where does Texas fall?

Unfortunately, not well or even high in the rankings. I demand a recount! How can a state possibly be any more polite than Texas? We are known for our southern hospitality, for being polite, courteous, well-mannered, and respectful.

I mean it is not unusual to be driving down the road and be waved at by a complete stranger, or have the door held open at most establishments by a kind person about to enter or exit the same store or restaurant. Heck, how often have you been pulled over on the side of the road with a flat tire or run out of gas and at least one stranger not stop and ask if you need help? Always!

So where does Texas rank on this list of so-called polite states in the country?

Are you kidding me? Texas isn't even in the top 10. I think whoever shared this list needs to mind their manners and start all over again because this cannot be right.
