Texas Witch Thinks You Need Therapy Not Witchcraft
Do you believe in witches? According to the high volume of searches for "Etsy witches" it would appear as though more people believe in witches than would like to admit. If you have found yourself turning to Etsy, or other online-selling platforms, to get a witch to help you over a heartbreak, maybe rethink it. One North Texas witch is saying instead, you should talk it over, with a therapist!
Meet the Texas Witch Who Says Therapy Beats Etsy Spells
The Dallas-based witch behind this cautionary tale isn’t your typical mystical entrepreneur- she’s a practicing spellcaster who’s seen firsthand how online magic, especially from Etsy, can backfire. Speaking to the Dallas Observer, high priestess and witchcraft practitioner Mamba MiRah explains that many clients come to her after trying cheap spells found online that promised big results but only brought stress, disappointment, or worse!
From emotional backlash to spiritual confusion, she’s witnessed how these quick-fix Etsy potions often do more harm than good. When she knows that sometimes the person asking for a spell or even a curse, or something far more nefarious, MiRah knows that sometimes this person doesn't need that, she strongly encourages folks to seek therapy instead of hopping on the Etsy spell train.
The Real Work Comes From You
She went on to explain that some people might think magic is a quick fix, but it’s not. Healing is messy and complicated, and you can’t buy your way out of it with a charm or candle. MiRah told the Dallas Observer:
There is no candle or crystal or spell bottle or herb that is going to fix you. That does not exist. It's you. You have to be ready to put that intention and the work.
Her message? Real change takes real work, usually with a licensed professional who can guide you through the emotional chaos; and she’s ready, she has referrals for Wicca-friendly counselors!
While she’s still open to helping clients with spiritual guidance, she makes it clear that some issues need more than moon rituals. She’s not in it to take advantage- she’s in it to guide people toward what they actually need. And often, that’s just talking it out with a mental health professional, not a spell kit with overnight shipping that could go wrong in several ways!
So before you drop cash on a spell jar or a moon ritual from a stranger, consider booking a session with a therapist instead, because sometimes the best magic is just talking it out.
