All next week, donation centers will be set up around El Paso to gather clothing for needy El Pasoans and the kids that Candlelighters of El Paso have sworn to help.

Evolve Federal Credit Union is behind the clothing drive and will set up donation sites at all 4 of their locations ... 909 Myrtle, Downtown, 8840 Gazelle Drive in Central, 1710 Saul Kleinfeld Drive on the eastside and 6950 Pitt Street on the westside. The donation bins will be in place from Monday, August 3rd, through Friday, August 7th and available Monday - Friday, from 9:30am - 5:30pm.

According to the El Paso Herald - Post,

This week-long event will take place at all four evolve FCU branches throughout the El Paso area. Candlelighters bins will be placed at each branch location to allow for convenient drop-off access. Everybody from evolve FCU employees and members to the public and businesses are invited to participate and donate towards this wonderful cause.

Candlelighters of El Paso will accept new and used clothing but, they do ask that all items be bagged before being placed in the donation bins. Their primary mission is to help kids who are battling cancer and their families through their most difficult times. They are listed as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization so, all donations are tax-deductible.

The Candlelighters organization was founded in 1978 and currently serves about 300 kids between the ages of "0" and 25. They are located at 1400 Hardaway Street, Suite 206. They can also be contacted by phone at (915) 544-2222, on the internet by clicking here or via Facebook.
