A video of Tom Brady throwing a football with uncanny accuracy has had people talking. The video, apparently uploaded by Brady, has inspired headlines like “Tom Brady IS NOT Human!” and “Brady’s INSANE Accuracy You WILL NOT Believe!”

Here’s what TD Tommy posted:

Sure, a lot of people’s first reaction to anything is “SO FAKE!” But I’ve seen videos of people doing amazing things that I was SURE had been faked, only to find out later it was all true. Yup, Phil Mickelson CAN chip a golf ball over the head of a 6-foot man standing a couple of feet in front of him.

In this case, though, there seems to be ample evidence gathering that the vid of Brady playing catch with a ball-return machine has benefited from the skill of a gifted CGI artist.

First, CGI EXPERTS explained things that are “off” that the untrained eye might not catch:

An aptly named Youtuber, Captain Disillusion, says there’s probably a person standing where the ball machine appears to be:

The other shoe fell when someone pointed out that the director of the video thanked his production crew on Insta:

It doesn’t seem that Tom Brady was actually trying to pad his credentials. For starters, why would he? He’s got more Super Bowl rings than my high school shop teacher had fingers. What would a trick-shot video, even if it were real, add to THAT legacy?

So, it looks overwhelmingly like the video is not genuine. It’s just Tom Terrific having fun poking the hater hornet nest.

Now, if you’re looking for something legit to hate Tom for, maybe check out the Subway commercial he’s in…dude claims he doesn’t eat any processed food. Yet there he is, laughing all the way to the bank.
