Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away and people are already mapping out where they'll be heading for those holiday deals. Last year, many businesses were closed or moved their Black Friday deals online, to help stop the spread of COVID. Our region was still dealing with a huge amount of COVID cases and deaths and it wasn't recommended that people gather for holiday parties, let alone to fight it out over a flatscreen in a cramped store aisle. Now, the COVID cases have gone down, our vaccination numbers are up and people can once again gather.

Thanksgiving has always been a holiday focused on being surrounded by friends and family, but over the past few decades has turned into a commercial holiday for retail stores. Thankfully, the movement to allow holidays to be family time has continued and many stores are still going to be closed on Thanksgiving.
