Bush Forced To Cancel Fall Tour Due To Ongoing COVID Issues
Rock fans in the Borderland were ecstatic to see Bush and Stone Temple Pilots heading out on tour and scheduling a stop in the Sun City. Live music has been back in the El Paso area for a few months now and music fans have been enjoying heading out into crowds to hear songs from artists that they know and love. But as the number of live events scheduled continues to grow, others that were announced at earlier dates are being cancelled or postponed due to ongoing pandemic conditions as well as COVID diagnoses.
Less than a month ago, we announced that Speaking Rock would be bringing Bush and Stone Temple Pilots co-headlining Fall tour to Speaking Rock Entertainment Center. The El Paso date was scheduled for October 1st, the second date on the tour. Having a concert date so close to the beginning, people were optimistic we would be seeing this concert happen in the next few weeks. Other concerts have had to be canceled or have dates postponed due to band members and crew members testing positive for COVID.
Sadly, it looks like we won't be seeing this concert anytime soon. Bush released a statement on their social media pages announcing that they wouldn't be going through with their Fal 2021 concert plans:
"Due to unfortunate and unavoidable Covid-related circumstances, we will be unable to move forward with our planned Fall tour dates -- including our festival appearances and our tour with Stone Temple Pilots. We cannot stress enough how heartbreaking it is to not be able to go out and play after all of this time, and after all of our attempted starts and ensuing stops over the past year and a half."
The band finished the statement by apologizing to their fans and their tourmates Stone Temple Pilots saying this is the last thing they wanted to do. There's no word on when the band plans to head out on tour again or if they will ever have the co-headlining tour with Stone Temple Pilots, which has already been postponed since 2019.
