As an El Pasoan, born and raised, I'm very proud of my city. Of all the complaints you'll hear, the main one is always:

"There's nothing to do here."

To which I say, wrong, there's always something to do here. Our downtown area, while a little flawed, is definitely growing. The El Paso Chihuahuas are four time PCL Southern Division Champs and two time Conference Champs and they don't seem to be stopping anytime soon. Khalid is a national treasure. Our city keeps growing. I believe that many great things have come from the borerland; food, music, cultures co-existing with each other. I just have a lot of pride for the City of the 915. So when I came across this video, I knew had to share it with the rest of y'all.

Khayla Jordan Golucke uploaded this video at the end of last  year and I'm amazed it's only gotten around 2,000 views. It's amazing and gave me chills. If the song sounds a little familiar to you that's because it's from "A Goofy Movie" by the superstar Powerline! (You know, the one where Goofy and his son Max travel across the country and end up at the Powerline concert to impress a girl that Max likes?)

Anyways, in the description Khayla says:

"Growing up in El Paso, TX, on the US/Mexico border, I was fortunate to connect with and learn about cultures other than my own through the art form of dance. I was inspired to share my perspective about what life on the border is like through the many dance styles and cultures represented in my hometown - #thisistheborder through my eyes."

I couldn't have said it better myself, Khayla, thank you for this awesome video!
