The annual Bataan Memorial Bike Run is Saturday, April 7th, in nearby Alamogordo.  Enjoy not only a nice ride but also food, drinks, fun and music!

The event honors the memory of soldiers from New Mexico who were forced to endure the infamous Bataan Death March. Men like Julio Barela and Father Albert Braun just to name a couple. (Mr. Barela was one of it's oldest survivors and Father Braun was a Priest and a Lt. Colonel known as the "Warrior Priest".)

The run starts and ends in Alamogordo at American Legion Post 34 but, offers two different routes:

Bataan Route has stops in Three Rivers, Carrizozo, Fort Stanton, Lincoln, Mescalero, Tularosa, and Alamogordo.

Corregidor Route has stops in La Luz, Tularosa, Mescalero, Cloudcroft, and Alamogordo.

Entry is $15 for solo riders and $20 for couples. Proceeds benefit the St. Jude's Restoration Fund and American Legion Post 34.  All bikes and bikers are welcome. Those who don't ride are welcome to come party and donate at the American Legion.  For more info, call (575) 430-2545.

Alamogordo is about 80 miles north of El Paso, via US-54. Las Cruceans, head east via Highway 70.
