New ‘Bad Romance’ Episode Covers Chilling Texas Murder Case
The murder of a Texas woman is the subject of the newest episode of "Bad Romance: The 20/20 True Crime Limited Series" that just premiered it's second season on ABC. In the season two premiere episode titled “No Tomorrow,” “A young bride-to-be’s life is tragically cut short just days before her wedding. Investigators begin searching for answers and uncover a twisted and shocking murder plot.”
The story centers around Laura Grillo, a 37-year-old woman from Rowlett, Texas who is found murdered in her home just eight days before her wedding in November of 2015. We quickly see how Grillo's family goes from planning her wedding, to planning her funeral.
Suspicions arise after investigators question her fiancé, John Makris- and the behavior he displayed in the days following Grillo's death. Authorities uncovered a chilling plot suggesting that Laura’s murder may have been planned for months, with a shocking twist no one anticipated.
I think we all know where this is leading but, I won't spoil the ending. The episode is streaming on Hulu.
This isn't the first time "20/20" has featured a gristly story from Texas; just last year, they released an episode that begins in Stephenville, Texas and had ties to El Paso.
ABC's "20/20: There is a Monster In Me" begins in the self-proclaimed Cowboy capital of the world where we hear the story of Susan Woods. Described as fun and cute- one day she encounters a man named Michael Woods- who she fell in love with- and I think we all know how this ends.
This episode is also available on Hulu.
