Author Of ‘The Exorcist’ Has Passed Away, Here’s An SNL Skit With Richard Pryor
William Peter Blatty passed away on January 12th, 2017. He was the author of the book 'The Exorcist' which lead to the movie of the same name. The book was sort of based on a real story. It had to do with the exorcism of a boy named 'Roland Doe', plus other events were used to write the book. Some of the other events include the Loudun possessions. The Loudun possessions are about a witchcraft trial in Loudun, France, back in 1634.
Let's get back to William Peter Blatty though. He wrote the book 'The Exorcist' back in 1971, which then lead to the movie being made in 1973. The movie has been my number 1 horror movie for so many years, I've lost count. I'm not sure anything can really top it at this point.
So this leads me to the Saturday Night Live skit that comes from the first season of the show. Playing Father Karras is Richard Pryor, but since NBC is super protective of their material, I can only post a link to the video. But still, enjoy. "Your mother sews socks that smell!"

And honestly I'm not sure why the link won't properly post on here, so just take the extra few seconds and copy and paste it. It's well worth it.
