Amari Cooper Wants to Stay in Dallas
Ezekiel Elliott got his big contract at the beginning of this season, and he has 'sort of' earned it. He's the highest paid running back in the league, but where are his stats?
- Total yards - 990 (6th in the league)
- Yards per carry - 4.4 (21st)
- Touchdowns - 7 (8th)
Dak Prescott is due for a new contract as well and he has certainly earned a big contract this year, here are his stats.
- Yards passing - 3,788 (1st)
- Touchdowns - 23 (3rd)
- QBR - 72.9 (3rd)
- Rating - 99.8 (11th)
But what about Amari Cooper? He's due for a contract as well. Here are his stats and where they rank in the league.
- Yards - 971 (5th)
- Touchdowns - 7 (5th)
Does Cooper want to stay in Dallas. Yes, he does.
"If it ain't broke don't fix it," he said, per the Star-Telegram's Clarence Hill Jr. "Of course. Like I just said, I love it here. I want to be here. I just love this situation, my teammates. I just feel it’s the place for me."
Of course none of this means a whole lot if Jerry Jones can't get his coaching staff in line. I'm not a Jason Garrett hater, but it is time for the Cowboys to move on. But the problem is, who is going to want to come in and coach for Jerry Jones, who is a notorious pain-in-the-ass for the head coach?
