These Texas Album Covers Are So Good Even Spongebob Loves Them

We are not the only fans of Texas rock & metal; apparently our neighbors from under the sea, Spongebob Squarepants & the residents of Bikini Bottom have a thing for music too. How do we know this? Well it's all thanks to one page on Instagram called Albums of Bikini Bottom.

Who is Albums of Bikini Bottom?

The Instagram page started back in 2019 & currently has over 85k followers. The person running the page simply wanted to show of their creativity by recreating album artwork using the characters from Spongebob Squarepants. The person who is in charge of the page told me they used to live in Southwest Texas for nearly a decade; they lived in Eagle Pass, Texas for about 8 years (which is more than enough time to be considered a Texan).

And since 2019, we have seen some incredible artwork from fellow Texas bands like Pantera,

Drowning Pool,

ZZ Top,

Bowling for Soup,

Kingdom Collapse,

And that's just scratching the surface. You can even find artwork that was submitted to the page of At the Drive-In from El Paso, Texas, the Butthole Surfers from San Antonio, Texas, Koe Wetzel out of Pittsburgh, Texas... and that's just the bands from the Lone Star State.
