Actor Edward James Olmos Had a Special Message for El Paso

It was nice to see and hear an American actor give some kind words to the city of El Paso. The American actor that you've seen on the big screen who shared some kind words is Edward James Olmos. You've seen Edward James Olmos portraying Selena Quintanilla's dad in the flick Selena. He played the strict dad who turned his kids into a group that will forever be remembered. Edward James Olmos isn't only into just acting. He also has other important roles besides acting, he is also a director, producer, and activist. Edward James Olmos shared a positive message with El Paso earlier this month on Wednesday, August 5. Granted, he was a couple of days late but better late than never is how I see it. His special message was in relation to the anniversary of the Walmart tragedy last year on Saturday, August 3.

On his Facebook page, he shared a video on one post separately praising our city. But right after posting his video for El Paso, he followed up with posting some pictures after. The pictures he shared were from his visit to El Paso when he visited the first responders and victims from that horrific day. Plus, he wasn't the only one visiting El Paso as you will notice George Lopez in the pictures as well. I felt a good heartwarming feeling when I saw his video for our community. He was right about the things he said about El Paso and especially about the unification we have as a city.
