Aaron Hernandez Commits Suicide In Prison
The Aaron Hernandez saga has come to an end, as the former New England Patriot tight end committed suicide last night in his cell at the Souza Baranowski Correctional Center in Shirley, Massachusetts. Hernandez was serving life in prison for the murder of Odin Lloyd back in 2013, and just recently was acquitted of a separate double murder charge.
Hernandez was drafted by the Patriots in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL Draft, the 113th pick overall. Hernandez's talent was better than where he was drafted, but there were lots of red flags involving his character and conduct while at the University of Florida. Incidents while at Florida included a bar fight and even a double shooting.
You could say that the downfall of Hernandez started with the murder of Odin Lloyd, because that was the crime he wound up in prison for. You could even talk about any of the incidents in college, or events that happened while a New England Patriot prior to the murder of Odin Lloyd. But it could really be tracked down to the death of his father. That was really the event that changed the life of Aaron Hernandez.
