Great news for El Pasoans looking for a fun afternoon activity outdoors. The weather has begun warming up and people are heading outdoors again to find things to do during their free time. If you're looking for a new local treasure to discover, head out to central El Paso to the El Paso Municipal Rose Garden.

The El Paso Municipal Rose Garden is a four-acre adventure with almost 1,500 rose bushes for you to admire. And don't think we're dealing with your traditional garden-variety roses. The garden started back in the 80s when 200 roses were initially planted and the rose garden has grown with over 430 rose varieties with more being added every year.

The El Paso Rose Garden is a great location for a quick Instagram photo session, a lunch date with your significant other, an educational trip for your kids, or just a peaceful afternoon to soak in some El Paso sun. There are also plenty of benches you can sit on and a beautiful waterfall with a pond filled with koi fish.

The El Paso Municipal Rose Garden is free to visit and is open from March 1st through November 30th. The rose garden is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily for you to enjoy. The El Paso Municipal Rose Garden is located at 1702 North Copia Street in central El Paso. All visitors must wear a face covering and maintain a distance of six feet from others.
