Lately, there's been drive-in movies but imagine how cool it would be to have a drive-in concert!

Lately, I have been experiencing withdrawals after the last concert I attended. I am just thankful I got to see KISS at the Don Haskins Center before Covid-19 wreaked havoc.

KISS performed on March 9 and I feel blessed for having the chance to see a show before all concerts came to a halt. Just recently on Wednesday, August 5, I would have been in Albuquerque, New Mexico to see Deftones.

Unfortunately, that didn't follow through since Deftones had canceled and rescheduled for 2021.

This pandemic has left some of us suffering withdrawals since concerts are out of the question now. Concerts weren't the only thing that had to shut down since the pandemic started.

The movie theaters even had to shut down until one recently opened their doors.

Since the movie theaters had closed there have been drive-ins popping up all over the place. I remember going to drive-in movies when I was younger back in the day. I was happy to see they're bringing them back again so we can show our kids.

Also, it is a good way to get out of the house and have some fun in a safe manner.

Well, I started thinking about how awesome it would be if we could have drive-in concerts too. El Paso has more than a few places with wide-open space for a drive-in concert to happen. Don't get me wrong seeing a bunch of virtual concerts has been a big help for the withdrawals I've had lately. But imagine how fun it could be to experience a concert on a different level due to uncertain times. In my opinion, I believe El Paso could use a drive-in concert to help.

Leave your two cents below if you would like to see a drive-in concert in El Paso happen.
