The most common subject studied by celebrities is English language or literature, according to Degree Query, a college research site. The most common celebrity alma maters are New York University and UCLA, but the University of Texas in Austin has plenty of notable alumni that have gone on to become well-known in various fields.

Matthew McConaughey, also known as the Minister of Culture, is probably one of the best known Longhorns. The Uvalde, Texas native can be seen at football games and in the film class that he teaches on the Forty Acres. He also seems to be thinking about a run in politics, but has declined a role in politics for now, according to the Texas Tribune.

However, there are some other famous faces that also attended the University of Texas at Austin. Some had very humble beginnings, while others had a bit more of a head start on this thing called life.
