It was a first, that’s for sure. After having to wait over 40 minutes for Utah at last year’s Sheriff’s Posse Dinner, Georgia Tech head coach Paul Johnson wasn’t about to accept another Pac-12 diss to start his second straight Hyundai Sun Bowl experience. So, after waiting 40 minutes for USC to show up for the annual kickoff feed and talent show, he put officials on notice — 10 more minutes and the Yellowjackets would say, “Adios!”
The 10 minutes came and went. And so did Georgia Tech.
Remember last month when USC Linebacker Tony Burnett tweeted something disrespectful about El Paso? Well apparently Lane Kiffin can’t handle his boys because another player tweeted something ignorant about El Paso again last night.

June 18, 2012 After all the controversy surrounding it, the Julio Cesar Chavez Jr./Andy Lee fight took place without any problems this past Saturday at the Sun Bowl. The weather was great and it was a great night of boxing!
The winner, and still middleweight champion of the world: Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr. The Culiacan native gave his legendary father, Julio Cesar Chavez, a great Fathers' Day gift, beating Irish challenger Andy Lee by TKO after referee Laurence Cole stopped the fight in the 7th round.
