Stone Sour guitarist Josh Rand let the beans spill in a recent interview about Cavalera Conspiracy and Soulfly bassist Johny Chow helping the band out with their touring bassist vacancy, but now the band has made an official announcement with Rand telling fans the news via a Facebook posting.

Stone Sour has been working on their latest for a while now, and Corey has been talking about it being a huge concept record, and not a singles-based album. He's just finished laying down the vocals for their fourth album, and they've announced more information about it!

We've been hearing a lot about the new Stone Sour double-CD concept recording they've been working on, House of Bones and Gold, that should be out in October. What we really haven't heard is any of the music. Until now.

Stone Sour are undergoing yet another lineup change, as the band has officially parted ways with bassist Shawn Economaki.
