February 12, 2013 In the first time since before Columbus was even born, the Pope has decided to resign. There's a lot of speculation over who will be the next Pope and many people think he might be African or South America...both scenarios, I imagine, which would horrify Mel Gibson.
There's also a lot of conjecture over the reasons for the Pope's retirement. Age and health seem to be what the Vatican is putting out as the official version.
