After hearing Pope Francis would be stopping in Naples, Italy, pizzeria owner Enzo Cacialli decided to show his love for the pope with a pizza.

As the Pope was driving through Naples in his motorcade, Cacialli and his employees from Pizzeria Don Ernesto, eagerly waited to hand off the delicious token of appreciation! As you can see in the video, the guys successfully passed the pizza to the Pope, but no word if he enjoyed a slice.

Cacialli was overcome with emotions when he handed the pizza over as he explained to CNN, "Giving a pizza you made with your own hands to the Pope is very emotional. It’s really hard for me to express the value of this gesture for a man we really love and value, for a beautiful person full of humanity."

The Pope had recently made a comment about wanting to grab a slice of pizza, after made a comment about hating the fame that comes with being the Pope. He said he wanted to be able to "go out one day, without being recognized and go to a pizzeria."

I am not sure if the Pope will even want to eat it since it's so beautifully decorated with toppings to spell out, "IL Papa" plus his security probably wouldn't let him eat pizza from strangers.
