Well, as most of you are aware, Mike Portnoy quit the band he helped found 25 years ago, Dream Theater. He wanted to have the band go on "hiatus" for an indeterminate length of time and then have a "reunion" after the long break.
The rest of the band wasn't down with that, for some reason.
Mike Portnoy may no longer be in Dream Theater or Avenged Sevenfold, but his influence musically is still felt by tons of musicians. What does this mean to you? Normally not a lot...but now it means a free 3 CD download for us!
