An autopsy report released found Bland used a plastic trash bag to hang herself. Now, a Texas District Attorney says evidence is being gathered in the case and it eventually will be reviewed by a grand jury.

There are a lot of unanswered questions surrounding her death. The sheriff of Waller County says Sandra Bland admitted to having tried to commit suicide last year. Although, Sandra Bland had not been diagnosed with depression and was not on any medication for it.

A voicemail recently obtained by KTRK-TV in Houston has Bland leaving messages to loved ones about her ordeal. Her family members say someone who intended to commit suicide wouldn't do that.

Then there are claims that the dashcam video of the incident may have been edited. The Texas Department of Public Safety has insisted the irregularities in the footage were from a technical issue that happened during its upload. A second version of the video has been released. The Los Angeles Times made a side by side comparison.
