People are preparing for Halloween by buying their costumes, decorating their houses and planning on what horror movies to watch all October long. Halloween Express has done some research to find what is the most googled horror movie in certain U.S. cities.

Using Google searches from 2004 to the present, they created this cool map to show you what horror movie is of interest to certain major cities.

Dallas is big on The Nightmare on Elm Street, which might explain why they put on the big horror convention, Texas Frightmare Weekend. Austin's most googled movie is The Thing. I am very surprised that The Texas Chainsaw Massacre wasn't on this map. It's a true horror classic and Texas is even in the name!

Other horror classics like Halloween, The Others, Carrie, Dawn of the Dead and Dracula made it to the top of other cities list. I have to think that New York's interest in Jason has to be because of that instant class Jason Takes Manhattan! It's one of my brothers favorite movies but beyond corny to me.
