Part three of the Dream Theater documentary traking the selection of their new drummer came out at 9 this morning. As a lot of people were already guessing, Mike Mangini was selected to fill Mike Portnoy's drums shoes.

There were a lot of clues, such as the other front runner stating a few months ago that he wasn't the new drummer, Mike Mangini cancelling his teaching gig at Berkley College of Music in Boston, etc.

I like their decision. He's a great drummer who's played with Annihilator, Steve Vai and Extreme. He seems fun and is insanely talented. If not Mangini, which of the other candidates would you have wanted to get the gig?
