Incredible Footage of Cereso Prison Riot As Guards Give Inmates the Keys! [VIDEO]

The El Paso Times has published some incredible footage of the massacre that led to the Cereso prison riot that killed 17 and injured 70. This story is making international news and shows, once again, how screwed up things continue to be in Cd. Juarez.

Why? BECAUSE CERESO GUARDS ARE SHOWN GIVING INMATES KEYS TO OTHER INMATES' PRISON CELLS TO KILL THEM!

And then the guards leave to let the prisoners kill!

The cliche "inmates are running the asylum" doesn't begin to cover this because asylums contain people who are not in control.

These men are in perfect control. They are inmates, and they are running the prison. Literally running the prison! The guards leave because they're out-gunned!

I've said it before and I'll say it again -- Juarez needs Batman...which is a glib and, frankly, rhetorical answer, because there is obviously no such superhero waiting to emerge from a cave. Plus, Batman dished out collective punishment, which I don't think is possible, here.

Can there ever be justice or peace? And, if there is ever peace, whose peace will it be? The cartels' peace?

Honestly, how and when can this ever change for the better when corruption doesn't just seep, but is poured like concrete into so many facets of Mexican society? And once it dries, who can ever break free?

Prayers are needed.

Yeah, I know, I just said there is no such thing as Batman. But I've lived long enough not to expect God to work that way -- a Pat Robertson-style All-Smitey God ready to blast the cartels with a big ball of hell-fire plucked from his utility belt.

The choice to take up arms is sadly ours alone; and many do, on both sides of our border. God isn't going to pick anybody's compromised side to fight this war.

He's busy stitching the wounds.

Would that we all allow Him to catch up.
