A recent survey named the 12 best steakhouses in all of Texas and one right here in El Paso county topped the list.

It's easy to find a good steak pretty much anywhere in the lone star state so, trying to pin down the absolute best one though is a pretty daunting task.

Everyone has their own opinion and we all look for different things when we're going full carnivore but, I must admit, I wholeheartedly agree with #1.

Mashed.com didn't rely on their own tastes or opinions to generate the list, they turned to Yelp for help. Hey, that rhymed ... anyway, numero uno is my all time favorite steakhouse.

I'm not basing that on just El Paso. I've also lived in Dallas and Houston and I've eaten in 17 states as well as all over Mexico. I know what's up, I know my steak and I'm telling you this place RAWKS.

Who Makes The Best Steaks In Texas?

It's all about the one and only Cattleman's at Indian Cliffs Ranch in Fabens. My mouth is watering just writing this. Seriously ...  I'm drooling on my keyboard.

In addition to taste, there's also a bit of mystery to this place. They use a special seasoning on their steaks and only a few people, (3 or 4 out of about 150 employees), know what's in it.

I've known several employees out there and have had ZERO luck figuring out what's in it. I'm not giving up though ... the truth is out there.

On top of steaks that would turn the most devoted vegan, where else can you enjoy a delicious meal, tour a real movie set, take a hay ride, wander through a petting zoo, stare down some rattlesnakes and watch the sun set from a lakeside chair?

Nowhere, that's where.
