El Paso Water Utilities and Dona Ana County have set up sites around El Paso County to distribute the free sandbags. There is a limit of 15 bags per EPWU customer.

In El Paso, the sites are:

Northeast

Sat – Sun, 2 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Westside

Central

Eastside

Lower Valley

In Socorro, you can get sand bags at the Socorro Recycling Center, Old Hueco Tanks Rd. & Moon Rd.

In Dona Ana County, all 16 volunteer fire districts have sandbags to give out on a first come, first serve basis. There is a limit of 10 sandbags per residence or business.

Sandbags go fast this time of year, so you’ll want to get to one of these sites as soon as possible.
