Joaquín 'El Chapo' Guzmán is one of the most powerful drug lords in the world and is currently being held at Cefereso no 9 in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, right across from El Paso, Texas.

The Sinaloa Cartel leader was captured during a raid on January 8, 2016 wearing a blue-and-grey-striped shirt which has now become one of the most sought after shirts in the world. One of my favorite photographers Chris Arnade, recently visited El Paso and was very amused to find El Chapo shirts being sold in Downtown.

Barabas Premium Apparel is the company that makes the two shirts 'El Chapo' was seeing wearing in pictures and videos. You can buy the famous all-cotton shirts on their website for $128 but you can get a knock-off in Downtown El Paso for way less.

Store owners in Downtown El Paso say 'El Chapo' shirts are the craze right now with some stores selling out completely, forcing store owners to wait on shipments coming from the LA fashion district.

Chris Aande was able to get some pictures of the marketing store owners display in their stores and he even purchased a shirt to wear. (Hopefully not to work) The shirts can be purchased just one block north of the Paso Del Norte Bridge.
