A Texas couple famous on Youtube woke up to a horrifying situation last month when a mentally disturbed "fan" showed up at their house unannounced at night. Megan Turney is known on Youtube for her videos about anime, relationship advice and cats. She also hosts co-hosts videos with her boyfriend Gavin Free who does videos on video games and more. Megan has almost 350,000 followers on Youtube and attracts more viewers everyday. One of those viewers turned out to be more than just a normal fan. 23 year-old Christopher Giles of Albuquerque, New Mexico drove the 11 hour journey to Turney and Free's home in Austin, Texas according to police documents. Around 3:40 a.m. on January 26th, the couple woke to the sound of breaking glass and a gunshot. They hid in a bedroom closet and called 911, while Christopher Giles searched the house for them. Unsuccessful in finding the couple, he got back into his car and was leaving right when the police arrived.

An officer returned fire after hearing a single gunshot come from Giles car, and they later found a notes written by Giles explaining his motives. Giles had developed an obsession for Turney and an extreme dislike for her boyfriend. The note read in part, "I want Gavin Free to die alone, with no children." On Monday, Gavin Free sent out a tweet addressing the situation, "It's been a rough time for Meg and myself the last few weeks but we are doing OK." They also praised the Austin police for their quick response to the situation.
