Bill Maher Says Obama Should Pardon Weed Offenders

Bill Maher says President Obama to legalize marijuana and pardon non-violent drug offenders. On Friday night's episode of 'Real Time' BIll Maher went on a rant about the US drug policy towards marijuana.

On his show Bill Maher used former United States Presidents as an example,' Everyone from Bill Clinton to Newt Gingrich, Al Gore to Rick Santorum, John Kerry to Sarah Palin — they have all fessed up,” Bill said of politicians confessing to smoking weed. “Come on, when even Ted Cruz cops to it? That one surprised me, I must admit. I thought ‘Who would get high with Ted Cruz?'”

“Well, if you’re drunk enough, maybe,” Bill Nye 'The Science Guy' said.

One girl in the comments section of the video had an interesting point. Amanda writes,'We need to take a page out of Portugals book and decriminalize ALL drugs.....and make treatment programs for addicts accessible and affordable. In every country where drugs have been decriminalized the addiction rate and crime rate have been drastically reduced. America needs to rethink it's priorities, starting with abolishing the for-profit prison systems that incarcerate non-violent addicts....Treatment will always have a better outcome than Punishment'
