The month wouldn't be complete without one of my favorite movies from the horror/comedy genre, directed by one of the most amazing filmmakers out there. Long before The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit or King Kong movies, Peter Jackson made this wildly underrated movie called The Frighteners.

The Frighteners (1996)

Michael J. Fox isn't known for his horror movies. Which is, I guess, a bit of an understatement. But this movie twists dark comedy together with a little horror and a great story into one of the most entertaining films to watch. Trini Alvarado is a great, and really hot, female lead, and it's a shame she hasn't come out more. Jake Busey is really good, and of course, this movie wouldn't have been complete without Jeffrey Combs as the wacko FBI agent, Milton Dammers.
