Where The Vets & Active Duty Can Get Freebies For Veterans Day

Plenty of businesses are having free items to honor those who serve in the military. This Monday, November 11th is Veterans Day, a day when we honor those who have served and are currently serving in the U.S. military. There are many parades and celebrations throughout the United States to thank them for their bravery and selflessness. Restaurants and other businesses also give back to our armed forces with various deals and freebies on Veteran's Day. Here are some of the businesses that will be participating on that day. Many of the businesses ask that you bring some form of I.D. or proof that you were in the military so make sure you bring it.

• Speaking Rock Entertainment Center- FREE Garth Brooks tribute concert tonight. Doors open at 5 p.m., concert starts at 8 p.m. FREE food and drinks for all veterans, first responders and their entire families. Also holding a toy drive with Speaking Rock buying the first truckload of toys to donate to Toys for Tots!
• Applebee’s - Veterans and active-duty military get a free entree from a pre-selected menu
• Cracker Barrel - Free slice of their double-chocolate fudge Coca-Cola or a pumpkin pie latte
• Denny’s - From 5 a.m. to noon get a free Build Your Own Grand Slam breakfast with a military I.D.
• Dunkin' - Free doughnut of your choice for veterans and active military members
• Golden Corral - Veterans, National Guard, Reserve, and all active-duty military get a free dinner buffet
• Hooters - Veterans and active-duty military get a free entree from a special Veterans Day menu featuring 6 of their most popular entrees.
• Olive Garden - Veterans and active-duty military get a free meal from a special menu
• Red Lobster - Active-duty and veterans get a free appetizer or dessert
• Romano’s Macaroni Grill - Free Mom's Ricotta Meatballs and Spaghetti with a military I.D. or proof of service
• Sizzler - From open to 4 p.m. veterans and active-duty can receive a chicken, steak, or shrimp dinner and a beverage for free
• Smashburger - Get a free Double Burger with any other menu purchase
• TCBY - Get six-ounces of frozen yogurt for free for all veterans and active-duty military
• Little Caesars: One free Hot-N-Ready Lunch Combo, with four slices of of DEEP!DEEP! Dish pepperoni pizza, and a 20-ounce soft drink, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
• Pilot and Flying J - Free Pilot coffee and a free PJ Fresh breakfast sandwich, breakfast pizza or breakfast grill item. Available through the Pilot Flying J app
• Smoothie King-  Free 20-ounce smoothie of your choice for military personnel and veterans, with military ID, veteran ID card or license with veteran designation
• Village Inn- Free INN-credible Village Inn Breakfast at participating restaurants for all active duty and veterans
• Academy Sports+Outdoors- 10 percent discount on the entire purchase in stores and online today to active duty, retirees and veterans and their immediate family members
• Home Depot: Get a 10 percent discount on in-store purchases today
• Kohl’s- Get a 30 percent discount on purchases today for the military, veterans and their families
• Lowe’s- Get a 10 percent discount year-round in-store and online
• Target: Get a 10 percent discount instore and online. The discount is available through a single-use coupon
• Walgreens: Get 20 percent discount on eligible regular-priced merchandise today when you use a Balance Rewards card.
• Amazon Prime: Get $40 off ($79) the regular price Amazon Prime ($119) today. This deal is good for new and existing Prime members. Current Prime members when you purchase it will add a year to your membership.
• Goodyear Auto Service and Just Tire: Free car care checks and free tire installations to active duty and retired military, with valid military ID. You can schedule a service and redeem it through Nov. 16. The car care check includes an inspection of tires, brakes, alignment, battery, wiper blades, and shock and struts. With any tire purchase during this promotional period, you can receive free tire installation.
• Cool Joe Cuts- Offering $5 haircuts to all active duty AND vets all day on Monday
• Great Clips- Get a free haircut, or a free haircut card to be used later, on Nov. 11. The cards can be redeemed for a free haircut from Nov. 12 to Dec. 31 at any Great Clips salon. Also, non-veteran customers who get a haircut on Veterans Day will receive a free haircut card to give to an active-duty member or veteran
