"Movies on the Lawn" concludes with “In the Heights” and you don’t have to be a UTEP student to attend; the event is free and open to the public.

The musical drama based on the stage musical of the same name will be shown in the beautiful Centennial Plaza in the middle of the campus. Blankets, chairs, and your own snacks are welcome, but alcohol, glass containers are pets are not allowed. Showtime is around 8:30 p.m.

Emerald Sands Park - Northwest El Paso

Hunt Communities is hosting a free showing of "Ghostbusters: Afterlife" at Emerald Sands Park in Mission Ridge. Bring your own chair or blanket. Food trucks will be on site. The movie begins at 8 p.m.

The Plaza Classic Film Festival’s Plaza Outdoor series is back with a weekend of free movies just down the street from the Plaza Theatre.

As has become tradition, a performance by one of our many talented local bands will precede the movie. The movies start at 9 p.m. with the local musical flavor getting underway at 7:30 p.m.
